MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS, THE ARTS, AND SPORTS CELEBRATES IMPRESSIVE 3RD PLACE VICTORY AT THE ASK NAIROBI SHOW – State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy

It was Joy and jubilation as the Ministry of Youth Affairs, The Arts and Sports emerged 3rd Overall in the Category of Best Ministries Stand out of ALL the MDAs who were participating at the #Nairobishow after the judging results were released, on Tuesday, 26th, September, 2023. This is through Team work from State Department for Youth Affairs & The Arts & State Department For Sports and their SAGAs.

The Ministry’s Team was led by Secretary Administration, Kula Hache, & Deputy Director Public Communication, Ms Monica Omoro, SDYAA and senior officers from the Department of Sports Mr. Mike Kimoko & Assistant Director, Administration, Mr Ratemo.

We invite them to visit our Exhibition Booths situated within the Jamhuri Expo and witness for themselves Government’s programs geared towards their improved livehoods that can spur their economic sustainability, not just” white collar ” office jobs.

Participating Teams within the Ministry’s exhibitions Booths included DFS-kenya , Department of Library Services Permanent Presidential Music Commission , projects namely, VIVA, KYEOP KENYA and SAGAs namely Kenya Film Commission , Kenya Film Classification Board National Youth Council Kenya , Kenya National Library Service -KNLS while under the State department for sports, there were the Kenya Academy of Sports , Anti- Doping Agency, and WRC Safari Rally participating. There were also members of the Youth who are beneficiaries of programs from the Ministry, telling their stories in line with the judging categories entered by the Ministry. These success stories are serving as real life testimonials on the positive impact of Ministry’s programs in their lives & are out to ensure more Youth, creatives, musicians, sportsperson and others take advantage of existing government opportunities for their improved livelihoods.

The Ministry had entered in three judging Categories, namely, Best Government Stand in the Intepratation of theme, Best Government Ministries & Best Stand in showcasing Youth empowerment programs.
