On Friday, July 19, 2024, PS Ismail Maalim Madey welcomed UK-AID’s Charles Juma (UK-Digital Access Program Country Lead and Advisor) and Enos Weswa (Director UK-Tech Hub) to discuss enhancing collaboration between the State Department and UK-AID at his office.
PS Madey expressed appreciation for their recent partnership, highlighting achievements such as enhancing digital accessibility for people with disabilities on the Department’s website, training 247 Youth Officers in basic digital literacy, and developing a Talent and Innovation Framework.
He emphasized the potential for further collaboration, particularly in empowering youth through digital skills training, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, implementing digital inclusion programs, and building cybersecurity capacity.
Also present at the meeting were Director Moses Weunda, Deputy Director Jared King’oina, and other staff from the Innovation and Talent Development Directorate.
