Today, Friday, 16th August 2024, Uwezo Fund cheques totaling Ksh 2,370,000 were issued to 26 groups comprising more than 250 beneficiaries in Embakasi East. The groups include women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs), all set to receive financial support aimed at boosting their businesses in various sectors aligned with the BETA economic agenda.
The issuance ceremony was presided over by Hon. Dr. Babu Owino, MP for Embakasi East and Constituency Patron of the Uwezo Fund.
Also in attendance was Mr. Daniel Kirui, the Regional Coordinator for Nairobi, accompanied by the Embakasi East Sub-County Youth Development Officer, who represented the State Department for Youth Affairs and the Creative Economy.
